Job Description:

Specialist: Quality Assurance – Insurance sector (Long-term)

Location: Pretoria

Salary: R30 000 – R35 000 (negotiable)


Our client is looking for a Specialist: Quality Assurance. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring the products or services meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance


  1. Quality Assurance
    1. Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
    2. Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards 
    3. Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
    4. Plan testing and inspection of systems
    5. Conduct and monitor testing and inspection of systems and products to ensure finished product quality
    6. Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
    7. Investigate customer complaints and nonconformance issues
    8. Collect and compile statistical quality data
    9. Analyse data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
    10. Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
    11. Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
    12. Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
    13. Identify training needs and inform relevant stakeholders for training interventions required for business to meet quality standards


  1. Helpdesk Support 
    1. Complete all valid helpdesk within reasonable time
    2. Provide application support on all IT in-house systems to business
    3. Assist with adhoc support to the BI, Development and Project Management teams as and when required


  1. Requirements:
    1. IT related degree/diploma
    2. Certification Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate
    3. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases 
    4. Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (advantage)
    5. 3 years’ experience in IT Development
    6. 1-year experience in long term insurance industry (advantage)
    7. Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience (advantage)
    8. Experience with implementation of corrective action programs (advantage)
