On Site UC Engineer (Telecommunication)

Our client in the Telecommunications industry is looking for an On-Site UC (Unified Communications) Engineer

Key responsibilities 

·        Management of client Skype for Business deployment

·        Polycom On-premise VC Infrastructure monitoring, management and scheduling

·        UC/AV First Line Support and conference assistance for all users, nationally.

·        Troubleshooting and repairing of faulty solutions

·        Management of all Boardrooms, including AV and VC equipment

·        Implementation, testing and monitoring of Proof of Concept deployments

·        All reporting required from the client

·        Responding to calls logged by users

·        Providing remote/telephonic support

·        Review, understand and enforce all policies and procedures outlined in Health and safety policy

Requirements            

·        Grade 12 certificate 

·        Skype for Business implementation qualifications and provable track record. References of implementations will be required.

·        Must have necessary knowledge of network and unified communications platforms

·        Must be able to read and fully understand Schematic drawings and terminology and be able to support systems accordingly

·        Polycom VC Infrastructure management knowledge (PCVE Qualification )

·        Knowledge of AV cable terminations

·        Experience in AV/UC Support

·        Good skills with hand tools 

·        Team player

·        Customer Centric

·        Willing to work in Johannesburg

·        Strong knowledge of UC/Audio Visual systems

·        Good communication skills

·        Proof of technical skills

·        Able to handle immense pressure

·        Good time management essential

·        Good planning skills

·        Strong attention to detail is essential

·        Must have a valid Driver’s license
