Short-Term Insurance Underwriter (Insurance)

Our client in the Insurance Industry is looking to hire a Short-Term Insurance Underwriter.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Liaising with clients only on administrative side

·         Obtaining correct information from clients, recording details and information accurately on the relevant systems

·         Prepare new business and commercial and personal lines quites on systems

·         Issuing new policies (on systems), renewals and endorsements

·         Preparing renewal documentation

·         Record keeping (electronical)

·         Provide regular feedback to relevant parties

·         Provide administrative support

Requirements

·         Computer Literate (MS Outlook, Excel, and Word)

·         Grade 12/ NQF4

·         Successfully completed the RE 5 Examination (Representatives)

·         NQF Level 4 Short Term Insurance Qualification, alternatively studying towards such a qualification within the time frame of DOFA

·         DOFA qualification FSCA

·         Commercial and personal lines experience

·         A minimum of 5 years’ working experience within the insurance industry

·         Good verbal and communication skills (Afrikaans and English)

·         Good administration, organisation, and planning skills

·         Good multi-tasking and time management skills

·         Highly reliable, adaptable, and resilient

·         Highly client focused with good interpersonal skills
