Operations Manager (Construction)

Overview of Main Tasks/Scope:

  • Inserting of all active purchase orders, blanket purchase orders, SLAs, leases, and vendor agreements into excel tracking matrix
  • Assistance with procurement activities in accordance with USG and Pact rules and regulations; to include preparation of applicable agreements, modifications/amendments and supporting documentation (i.e. negotiation memos)
  • Assistance with implementation of Internal Control Review (ICR) recommendations and particularly with development and implementation of asset management policy
  • Cleaning up of operations filing based on revised filing protocol provided
  • Clean-up of Vodacom account and management of all telecommunications devices within the office
  • Dealing with building management on any office related / maintenance matters brought up by employees
  • Renegotiating insurance (including re-competition if required) to ensure all assets properly covered

Reporting to the Operations Director

Essential Requirements (do not send CVs that do not meet this requirements)

  • 5+ years working in the field of Operations
  • Experience working in the NGO/Public sector with a preference for having worked under USAID/USG funded programs
  • Demonstrated understanding of procurement and asset management processes (must provide clear examples in CV)

Timeframe:

  • 4-6 months - start date 1-Feb-2017

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8am to 5pm (1 hour lunch)
  • Friday: 8am to 1pm
