About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, organised, and motivated individual whose primary responsibility will be the procurement of materials, as well as assisting with the booking and coordination of materials, plant, and equipment for our construction sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and is looking to build a long-term career within the construction industry.
Following training, the successful candidate will take ownership of our stores and stock management function, ensuring stock levels are maintained accurately, records are up to date, and materials are issued and received efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
•Procure materials, equipment, and supplies for construction projects.
•Obtain quotations, place orders, and liaise with suppliers.
•Coordinate the booking and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment to various sites.
•Manage stores and stock control with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
•Maintain procurement and inventory records.
•Assist with general office administration as required.
•Work closely with project teams to ensure operational requirements are met.
Minimum Requirements
•Grade 12 (Matric)
•Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics,Business Administration or related.
•Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in an administrative, procurement, purchasing, or stores environment.
•Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, stores, stock control, or administration will be advantageous.
•Experience in the construction or engineering industry.
•Valid driver's licence.
•Experience with procurement or stock management systems will be advantageous.
